Warranty Policy
HO Sports / Hyperlite / Accurate / Byerly Boards
General Warranty Policies:
Warranty claims are to be initiated by the dealer who holds the responsibility for selling the item in question to the consumer. This in turn means that the consumer must bring the product to the dealer from whom they purchased the product to make a warranty claim. It is the sole discretion of a dealer to honor the manufacturer warranty for an item they have not sold to a consumer. All warranty claims must be submitted by a dealer and not by the consumer directly.
All shipping costs associated with returning the product to HO Sports will be the responsibility of the party making the warranty claim. Any shipping charges to return the product will be handled by HO Sports and returned in the same manner of shipping as received, i.e. 2-day will be returned 2-day etc. HO Sports Co. Inc. does not take back returned product for credit. Any unopened product, or product returned with no apparent defect will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
HO Sports reserves the right to refuse warranty based on determination of defects caused by any other factor than manufacturer error. Any product determined to have been taken over jumps, rails, ramps, and other hard objects will be void of any warranty. Products determined to have a manufacturers defect will be repaired if possible. Should a product be un-repairable, replacement is at the discretion of HO Sports Warranty Department and would be a product of equal or greater performance.
Under no circumstances should the product be waxed, painted or altered in any form. Clean only with soap and water, rinse thoroughly. Bright colors will fade when subjected to prolonged sunlight exposure. Fading is not covered under warranty.
Limited Lifetime Warranty against Manufacturer Defect – Compression Hardgoods
HO Sports will inspect any and all products sent in for warranty for the life of the product. Lifetime defined as being the average life of use under normal skiing/ riding conditions.
Product Defined: Any Ski, Wakeboard, Wake Skate, Wake Surf or Kneeboard constructed using the compression molding manufacturing process.
Two Years from Date of Purchase – Wakeboard & Waterski Boots & Bindings
HO Sports will inspect any and all products sent in for warranty within two years of a customer purchase. Products older than two model years must be accompanied with a customer receipt to verify purchase within two years. The warranty does not extend to the tearing out of finger holes, nor does it extend to normal wear and tear or abrasion of the materials used, or damage due to improper handling, maintenance, modification, use or storage.
Product Defined: Wakeboard & Waterski Boots and Bindings.
One Year from Date of Purchase – Wood – Softgoods - Ropes
HO Sports will inspect any and all products sent in for warranty within one year of a customer purchase. Products older than one model year must be accompanied with a customer receipt to verify purchase within one year.
Product Defined: Any wake skate or flex board constructed of predominantly wood materials. Also included are Vests, Bags, Gloves, Helmets, and Ropes.
90 Days from Date of Purchase – Leisure Inflatables – Pumps - Apparel
HO Sports will inspect any and all products sent in for warranty. Upon determination of Manufacturer defect, a new item of the same model will be replaced at the discretion of the HO Sports Warranty Department. Valid only 90 Days from Date of Customer Purchase and must include copy of customer’s receipt to verify date of purchase.
Product Defined: The Leisure Line of inflatables for warranty purposes consists of coverless tubes with the main intent being applications not involving towing. Inflatable pumps consist of all pumps hand, battery or electric powered. All apparel items – clothing, jackets, hats, etc.
Inflatables – One Year from Date of Purchase
HO Sports will inspect any and all products sent in for warranty within one year of a customer purchase. Upon determination of Manufacturer defect then a replacement item will be issued at the discretion of HO Sports Warranty Department. Should said product be discontinued or not available indefinitely, a substitute of equal performance will be issued. Products older than one model year must be accompanied with a customer receipt to verify purchase within one year. Model year of Tube can be determined by marking on the Valve Cup using the following table:

For example, a tube from 2006 will read ABBT on the valve cup.
**NOTE**: 2007 Tubes were mislabeled with ABBU – this is the only exception to the above rule
In the circumstance that the only defect is in the bladder of the tube, HO Sports will replace the bladder only. Customer is to verify bladder or cover defect at point of consumer return. For replacement we will require the defective portion of the tube cut out along with the Valve Cup to verify the year.
