What an incredible weekend for Hyperlite. Hyperlite riders not only took the podium, but won almost every single division.

Junior Men’s had Jimmy LaRiche taking first overall yet again. First, Board Up Miami, and now Wake Games! He had some tough competition with Bob Soven, but Jimmy’s nose grab crow, batwing, huge floating bs 180, bs 5, dum dum, and very solid backside lipslides put him ahead of the competition as the clear-cut champion.

Q - First off, what is Board Up Miami? I don’t think a lot of people know about that event.
A - It’s a very hot event they have down in Miami. This is the 3rd year they’ve done it, and actually, every year I have won it in Junior Mens! It’s a good event that has amateurs and pros together, so it is a fun event.
Q – Tell me about the victory this year, because you won the Junior Mens as well as the Pro Mens.

Rusty On Winning the First Contest Of The Year

Q - You won the fist contest of the season, how does it feel?

A - “It is of course a good feeling. No better way to start than with a win, so it definitely feels good.”

Q - What was going through your head as you left the dock on your final run?

A - “Well it gets easier and easier with every contest you do. I’ve done a few now, so I definitely just want to go for it and either win or (you know), crash out. My plan isn’t to play it safe. I’m definitely going for it. I’m not going to play it safe and get third; I’m going to go for it every time!”

Chris Oshea's Pressure Cooker has gotten underway in Grafton.

This is for sure going to be the sickest contest ever. Oshea has out done him self with the accommodation, food, set up and river conditions.

There will be daily updates including photo galleries and video footage on www.theliquidcircus.com

Just wanted to share with everyone that Hyperlite and Shaun Murray extended a small token of our appreciation to an Army Soldier named Alex Tibben. Alex wrote into Hyperlite several months ago letting us know how much of a fan he was and also that one of his dreams was to meet Shaun Murray.

On October 26th, we made that dream come true! Shaun invited Alex and his wife to spend the day with him at his house. Alex was surprised to see that Hyperlite had provided him with a brand new 07 Murray board with bindings and the opportunity to spend some one on one with the best, Shaun Murray.

Q) Nick, so you recently took 1st Place at the UK National Championships, and 1st at Protest Cable Wakeboard European Championships, how does that make you feel and what is next?

A) Yes, it was a really good feeling winning them both as there are so many really good riders out there, I am hoping to try and do as many contests as I can, and try to do well in them.

Q) I noticed that you have been riding the Pulse setup, how is that working for you both behind the boat and cable?

October 19th – 21st 2007
Cancun, Mexico

Thursday October 18th 9:40am - Right about now American Airlines Flight 2184 is pushing back from the terminal with me and a handful of wakeboarders and wakeskaters on board. Brian Grubb, AJ Racinelli, and “Danno the Manno” are on this flight to Miami for a quick change of planes before jumping the puddle to Mexico’s Eastern-most point, a little place called...Cancun. As we make our approach all we can see of Cancun from ten thousand feet is the turquoise blue water and white beaches. After passing through security and regrouping, we hop on a shuttle bus from the resort and begin our 20-minute drive through the heart of Cancun: T-shirt shops, restaurants, night clubs, all chased by miles of white beaches.

The 1st Annual Malibu Pro Team Challenge is in the books and Team Hyperlite has the trophy, bragging rights, and cash in the bank to prove they’re the best! Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven Florida was the site of this one of a kind event and it was HOT! The Malibu Pro Team Challenge works like this…board companies all throw down $5,000 into the pot, the competition is broken into three categories, double up, wake and rail jam. Each team picks three guys per category. The judging is based on a points system reflecting advancements in each round. Most team points wins! That is exactly what Hyperlite did…win!
